I prefer the way Matthew reported the incident in Matthew 15:22-28:
24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
25 Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.
26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to dogs.
27 And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.
28 Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

I am so surprised! No one in FDBD realizes this is among the most profound, most important moments in ALL Human history:

Jesus came only for Israel. He had nothing for the Gentile, the Infidel; Jesus did not see those of Us Gentile, me and most of you, as His Children (Matthew 15:26 & Mark 7:27).

This Gentile Greek Woman and the Gentile Roman Centurion, who asked Jesus to heal his Jewish servant, had belief in Jesus, had faith in Jesus greater than many of Israel. These two people, Gentile but NOT Infidel, opened Jesus’s eyes for Him to see ALL of Us as His Beloved Children.
. . We, the still Gentile but NOT Infidel, that’s me and most of you, have these two people to thank for as one FDBD reader commented, “This is another wonderful passage where Jesus widens his circle to include someone previously excluded.”
