ALL the fans we have talked to LOVE the Idea!
Almost everyone dreads extra innings. After nine innings, most fans want it over: most fans leave as the innings drag on, and many feel cheated not seeing the end. Long extra inning games often end with few fans at the ball park.
. . But if each BASE counted as one, most fans would stay, knowing the game, most likely, will be over soon. It would be very exciting, because EACH play will be very important! If EACH base counted as 1, a fan, instead of thinking, “Oh no! Extra innings; I have to go to work tomorrow; I got to go.” The same fan will now think, “OH BOY!, this is going to get exciting; it will be over soon; I’M STAYING!” If each BASE counted as one, a fan would not be thinking, “Should I go or should I stay?” No, they will stay and be very excited about it.
How to say it: The ninth inning ended in a tie. The home team won in the tenth, 4 bases to 2 bases.
What about the players and the bullpens:
Players want it over; especially if it is a get away day or a night game followed by a day game! Yes, the players want it over. The 162 game season is already hard on all players. Most don’t play ALL the games. To add several innings on to an already hard days work is very tough on players.
. . Long extra inning games will weaken bullpens for a week or more.
MLB is NOW testing shorting extra inning games, in the minor leagues, automatically placing a runner on second base> at the start of extra innings. We and others> think this is a bad idea. Our Idea, of each BASE counts as 1 after 9 innings, will usually end extra innings games in the tenth, every single time!

More important than tradition:
Put Tradition aside in this case; change it for the coaches; change it for the players; change it for the fans, the ones who pay, the ones that make Professional Baseball possible! Aren’t the players, coaches, pitchers, and most important of all, the fans MORE important than Tradition?
