START OF ARTICLE:

Margaret lived in Ocean Beach California. On her morning walk, she heard squeaking. Following the squeak, she found a young injured wild parrot. OB, as the residents call it, has several flocks of wild beautiful green parrots flying loose in the beach community. Margaret took “Squeakie” home then to the vets. The prognosis was full recovery after a few months of care and feeding. Margaret and Squeakie soon became a couple and went everywhere together. Squeakie loved riding on Margaret’s shoulder. After three months, she tested her injured wing and flew short distances. Soon she was flying throughout the house. The vet said the wing was healing as expected and soon Squeakie would strengthen her flying muscles and would fly away when she was ready. That day came; Margaret was very sad but felt Squeakie’s joy as she flew away in excited acrobatics.
