The Entire 23 Psalm has been a foundation for my life. “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want . . . . . I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.”

I take the meaning to be God has already given us everything we need for our life on Earth and our Eternal Life. God has blessed us all with all; there is no need to say, “God bless you.” We should say instead, “God BLESSED you!” To ask for more, to ask him to do something, to make something happen, makes no sense to me.

What God gives us is Divine Guidance for our current situation, so we can do for ourselves WITH ourselves using all that He has already given us. What He does do is whispers Divine Guidance to each of us without us even asking. We all can receive this Divine Guidance, if we listen, if we quite our MORTAL selves to hear HIS WHISPERS FROM ABOVE.

Begging, pleading, and demanding God to do something for us, does not allow us to hear HIS WHISPERS FROM ABOVE, in my opinion. I believe God did not answer your begging, pleading, and demanding prayers. God did not tap your young man on the shoulder and tell him to drop out of seminary and marry you, NO! God did not change an “A” to a “F” score on a test, so he would flunk out of seminary, NO!

I do not know what God was whispering to you at that time; perhaps, “Tell him how you feel; tell him you want to spend your life with him. I think you will be happy with his answer.” Even you don’t know what God whispered to you, because you were not listening; that’s just my opinion.

God Answers our Prayers with Guidance not Actions! Look at this example:

Beth prayed for God to save her toddler son’s life with a heart transplant. After 6 months of intense, anguish prayer, a heart arrived and her son fully recovered with the prognosis of a long and healthy life. God answered Beth’s prayers? Amen?
. . On the very same day Beth stoped crying, stopped praying, and started rejoicing, another previously joyous mother, Jill, started weeping and praying in terrible anguish! Her toddler son somehow got thru TWO latched gates and fell into the neighbor’s pool! His body was donated for organ transplant. It is his heart that now lives in Beth’s son.

Did God answer Beth’s prayers for Action? Did God carry the second boy thru the two latched gates and throw him into the pool? Beth was praying; Jill was not. Did God feel sad for Beth, or did He just get tired of her begging? Did God not care at all about Jill and her son? Many would say, “Yes God answered Beth’s prayers.” Others would say,”God works in mysterious ways!”

Our opinion: We say NO! God does not take action for or against us, not anyone of us. He JUST gives DIVINE GUIDANCE so we can solve problems or accept what has happened. DIVINE GUIDANCE comes to each of us thru Whispers From Above; not all of us HEAR His Whispers.
. . God did not toss the boy into the pool. Nor did God arrange to have it done. God did not interfere, God did not cause or prevent Jill’s son’s death. Our Great God doesn’t even prevent the terrible Calamities his Children SUFFER here on Earth: the wars, diseases, destructive weather, earthquakes, tidal waves, etc.

The reason He doesn’t interfere is His greatest GIFT to us: OUR FREEDOM to do it OUR way. The wicked among us cause us great harm, but God allows it, for our FREEDOM! God tried to control us, to force us, in the Old Testament; it never worked out well. Then came the New Testament, The New Agreement between God and His Children on Earth. God knows we all go to Heaven when we die, therefore He does not prevent our deaths.

Our opinion: God does not “Tweak” HIS Laws of Nature to aid us. What He did was give us powerful brains to understand His laws. And He Whispers to guide us on how to “prevent” catastrophes. The same magnitude earthquake kills a few Americans but TENS OF THOUSANDS in poor countries. The buildings fall down and kill many thousands. It’s not the earthquake that kills, it is the poor construction. God did not send Katrina (the hurricane) to “clean out” the blacks in New Orleans as some believe.

Our opinion: We ALL Go to Heaven, the Righteous, the Wicked, and ALL of Us In between.
The Wicked are Loved by God even more than the Righteous. God Forgives the Wicked “for they know not what they do.” Luke 23:34
. . But the Wicked do lose out: they do not have the great JOY of walking with Jesus while here on Earth! In Heaven, the Wicked realize the harm they did on Earth, and the Wicked (and all of us) must face ALL those they have harmed. God prepares a table before me in the presents of my enemies! Psalm 23:5
. . Some say the toughest thing they have ever done was to hear how they harmed someone and, on there own free will, apologized to them. The Wicked will not have it easy in Heaven! Beware: all of us have harmed someone intentionally and/or unintentionally, knowingly and/or unknowingly. There is a table in Heaven waiting for you and for me!
